WHY DO WE PRAY? |
God is your Heavenly Father. You are His child! He loves you more than you could ever imagine. Like any loving father, He wants to be part of your life.
As soon as we learn our true relationship with God (namely, God is our Father, and we are His children), then prayer becomes natural and instinctive. Most of the difficulties about prayer come from forgetting our relationship with God.
Prayer helps us be in alignment with God. Prayer is not to change God’s will; it is to secure blessings that God is already willing to grant, if we ask for them. |

AS YOU PRAY |
Remember, you are talking to a wise and loving God. That means you’re safe to be honest and open about all of your hopes, fears, joys, and challenges. But if that sounds too intimidating, it’s OK to start with something simple.
Even just joining in while others pray lets God know you are ready to seek His help. If you haven’t had the opportunity for missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints to pray with you and share an uplifting message about prayer, you can request a visit now. |
