God hears your prayers no matter when or where you’re praying. In the Bible, people pray in their homes and in their fields, before meals and before battles, during battles, and even after the battle is over.
The important thing is where your heart is when you pray. Is your heart focused on God? Are you ready to follow His guidance?
Anytime and anywhere is a good time to pray, but if you’re struggling to feel like God is listening, you can try finding a more peaceful environment. Find somewhere private, and remove all distractions. Jesus Christ set an example of this when He went up into a mountain to pray alone after He learned of the death of His cousin John the Baptist (see Matthew 14:13, 23).
You can also unite your faith with other believers as you pray together at church or in your home. If you haven’t had the opportunity for missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints to pray with you and share an uplifting message about prayer, you can request a visit now.
