| “The Missionaries Helped Me Feel Heavenly Father’s Love for Me” |
“In college, one of my assignments was to read the Book of Mormon. As I read it and pondered on it, my desire to come closer to God grew. Right about the time the semester began, missionaries called me. I began to meet with them. I began to see the blessings of having the gospel in my life. I was happier. I felt light fill my heart. I was overjoyed. I saw the world with a renewed perspective.
“However, I denied having gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I decided I didn’t necessarily need to join the Church to continue to have this joy, so I stopped meeting with the missionaries. In December that year, I received a phone call. It was from missionaries—different than the ones I had met.
“I met with them twice a week after that. Heavenly Father softened my heart. The missionaries helped me feel Heavenly Father’s love. They truly sought to become my friends, inviting and helping me to come unto Jesus Christ. I am so happy. The decision I made to be part of this Church has been the best decision I have ever made.”
